March 2026 Brethren and friends, When most hear the phrase "March Madness," they think of the intense energy of college basketball. However, as we look out our windows here in New Hampshire, we know the real madness lies in the forecast. Between shoveling snow one afternoon and contemplating wearing shorts the next, our sense of equilibrium is constantly tested. As Masons, we are taught to meet life with a contemplative mind. This erratic weather is more than just an inconvenience; it is a practical lesson in circumscribing our desires and adjusting our sails. Just as we adapt to the freezing rain and the sudden thaw, we must remain "ready and willing" to meet the changing seasons of our Lodge. This seasonal change is not dissimilar to our current return to labor. After several months of relatively low-intensity work, the "thaw" has ended and our Masonic labors are back in full swing. We are entering our Inspection Season, a time that requires the same discipline and persistence we use to clear a driveway after a late-season storm. To ensure we are prepared to represent our Lodge with excellence, please mark your calendars for the following dates:
Just as we look forward to the first signs of green breaking through the melting snow, I look forward to the growth we will see in our ritual work over the coming weeks. Let us put in the collective effort now so that we may enjoy the rewards of a successful inspection and the beauty of the spring season ahead.
